You’ll find no less than 87 altcoin roulette games waiting for you at Cloudbet, and I have to say the selection of software providers is impressive. There are 11 software providers altogether, which is considerably more than the usual four or five offered by most sites. For RNG variants, you’ll find Switch titles, while the full list for live roulette is:

  • Playtech
  • Ezugi
  • Vivo
  • Evolution
  • Pragmatic Play
  • Live 88
  • On Air Entertainment
  • Microgaming
  • Electric Elephant
  • Golden Rock Studios

Even better, you’ll find a specific roulette category as part of the top menu, so finding your favorite variants is very simple. For the real aficionados, there are some pretty offbeat titles, such as Playtech’s Live Sticky Bandits Roulette and K-Pop Roulette. More classic options like Evolution’s Lightning Roulette are also present.

Stake options vary wildly, even within the same game. Red Door Roulette is a good example - you can bet as little as $0.20 or as much as $20,000. This makes Cloudbet suitable for all levels of players, which is always good.

You can make your deposit using about 40 altcoins, including XRP, Polka Dot, and Tron. Be aware that you’re only informed of the precise transaction fees after you log on. However, just for perspective, transactions in BTC usually carry a 0.00000828 BTC charge.

In the mood to practice your Turkish, Japanese, Brazilian, Korean, or German while having a go on the roulette wheel? At Stake.com, you can, plus a few other languages, too. In all seriousness, this site has the top roulette language lobby of all I’ve seen so far, so you’ll certainly feel welcome.

Roulette has its own category of 25 titles, including RNG variants, and you can filter them by provider, in alphabetical order, or by popularity. You can choose between three providers - Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, and Live 88 - which is the average for most of the best altcoin roulette sites. As a bonus, you can also see how many people are currently playing each title, the most popular ones being Roulette Live, Mega Roulette Live, and Lightning Roulette Live.

Stake accepts a total of 19 altcoins, including USDC, ApeCoin, Chainlink, Shiba Inu, The Sandbox, Uniswap, and Polygon. What I particularly love about this altcoin site is that it imposes no minimum deposit - it’s totally up to you if you want to start playing with very low amounts.

The same applies to cashouts, and you’re allowed to withdraw even very small amounts as there’s no minimum requirement. The other plus point? You’ll receive very frequent offers in your inbox as this site is a big fun of personalized bonuses.

Flush casino has a superb games lobby of more than 5,000 games. Around 50 of these are roulette, mostly of the RNG variety. You’ll find some pretty wild titles here, besides the fan favorites. There’s My Immortal Romance Roulette and 9 Pots of Gold Roulette for fans of the popular slots, and Football Studio Roulette if you’re into sports.

I also appreciated European Roulette Small Bets, which is ideal for beginners who are a bit more cautious with their bankroll. There are four software providers: Authentic Gaming for the RNG variants and Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, and iSoftBet for the live dealer tables.

You can use seven altcoins to make your bets, including Doge, Litecoin, BNB, Matic, and USDC. Be aware that you can’t use Avalanche, Arbitrum, or Base for your crypto transfers. Some fiat options like credit cards are also available, and you can buy your crypto directly from the site too.

As a new player, you’ll receive a 150% match up to the equivalent of US$1,000 in your chosen altcoin. Wagering requirements depend on your spend, which makes it a bit difficult to calculate beforehand.

BitStarz has around 33 roulette variants that include a super selection of RNG titles and some live tables. Annoyingly, roulette doesn’t have its own category on the menu so you’ll need to use the main search bar. However, you can filter the results further from within the search results, using the ‘live’ and ‘table games’ options.

You can also choose the ‘alphabetical order’ filter in the main menu, and all the roulette titles will come up grouped. There are quite a few unusual titles included: Platinum Authentic Roulette and Dup Roulette Saint Vincent being some of them. Each of these comes with a slight variation in the usual rules, so make sure you’re familiar with them before buying in.

The live dealer tables include a few private table options for those who prefer to enjoy themselves without the pressure of other players, and there’s also a Mini Roulette variant for beginners.

The site appears to be more well-suited to medium and high-rollers, as you’ll need to deposit a minimum of 0.0005BTC or its equivalent in altcoins to start playing. There are seven altcoins to choose from. Not the largest selection, but it includes the most popular ones like USDT, BCH, Doge, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

JustBit - best live roulette variants

JustBit casino offers more than 1,000 games. Seventy of these are roulette titles from Evolution, Pragmatic Play, BetSoft, Absolute Live Gaming, TrueLab, EvoPlay, and Winfinity. This covers both RNG and live dealer tables, but the filtering sadly leaves a lot to be desired.

There’s no specific category for roulette, so you need to click on Live Casino from the main menu and then use the secondary filter to tick the roulette option. This will bring up both live and RNG variants, although it’s not 100% effective, and some blackjack variants will still sneak in.

Still, once you get to it, the selection is a solid one, which is why JustBit has earned a place on my list of best altcoin roulette sites. Software providers include Evoplay, Evolution, BetSoft, Platypus, and Wazdan. The latter provides some cool RNG titles like Joker Roulette.

JustBit is very low-roller friendly and you can start playing altcoin roulette with as little as the equivalent of 0.00036 BTC. There are nine altcoins available, including Bitcoin Cash, USDT, and Litecoin. Incidentally, if altcoin jackpots are your thing, JustBit has an astounding selection of more than 300, so keep that in mind when looking for big wins.

Here’s a quick comparison between my top 5 altcoin roulette sites so you can pick and choose according to what you prefer.

Different roulette rules & betting options

Onto the actual rules of the game. At its core, Roulette is a game of chance where you bet on where a ball will land on a spinning wheel. The wheel is divided into numbered pockets, usually ranging from 0 to 36. The American version has an additional 00 on American wheels, which increases the house edge to 5.26% as there are more options where the ball can land. Variants with one 0 have a super-low house edge of 2.7%.

You start by placing your bet on a betting table that corresponds to the numbers and various other possible outcomes on the wheel. Once all bets are placed, the dealer - or the croupier if we want to be fancy about it - spins the wheel in one direction and rolls a small ball in the opposite direction. As the wheel slows down, the ball rolls to a stop in one of the numbered pockets, determining the winning number and any other bets.

There’s more than one way to put down a roulette bet, and each way impacts your odds. Below are the two most common ones.

  • Inside Bets: Placed on specific numbers or small groups of numbers. Examples include Straight Up (betting on a single number) and Split (betting on two adjacent numbers).
  • Outside Bets: These cover larger groups of numbers and offer lower payouts but higher chances of winning. Examples include Red/Black, Odd/Even, and Low/High (1-18 or 19-36).

If the ball lands on a number or outcome you’ve bet on, you win. If the ball lands on a different number, the casino collects the losing bets. These principles work in the same way for all altcoin roulette, so whether you’re playing Solana roulette or Doge, the rules are always the same.

Top roulette games you can play using altcoin

Upward pointing graph

Lightning Roulette

This super fast and super thrilling variant combines traditional roulette with electrifying multipliers. In each round, between one and five lucky numbers are struck by lightning, offering increased multipliers of up to 500x. This makes it particularly popular among players seeking bigger potential payouts. Play Lightning Roulette at Cloudbet.

Upward pointing graph

European Roulette

European Roulette is the most popular and widely-played version of the game, featuring a single zero and 37 pockets. The single zero lowers the house edge, so it’s excellent if you have a small bankroll that you’d like to stretch as much as possible. Rules are straightforward, and you’ll find it available at all the best altcoin roulette sites recommended above, including Flush casino.

Upward pointing graph

Mini Roulette

This is a smaller, more simplified version of the traditional game, featuring only 13 pockets numbered zero to 12. The reduced number of pockets increases the odds of winning, but the game also has unique rules for payouts, particularly if the ball lands on zero. This variant is ideal for those who prefer a quicker, more casual gaming experience. You can play Mini Roulette at BitStarz.

Upward pointing graph

Speed Roulette

Another common variant at altcoin casinos, this variant is designed for players who prefer a faster pace, with each round lasting just 25 seconds. The game cuts down on waiting time between bets, allowing more spins and betting opportunities per session. It’s good for those who aren’t scared off by the fast action and who already have a good familiarity with the rules. You can play it at Stake.com.

Upward pointing graph

Auto Roulette

This version offers an automated experience of the classic game, with the wheel spun by an air-powered mechanism instead of a live dealer. The experience is very fast-paced, with continuous play and quick results. This variant is also best suited for players who are confident with the rules and can cope with the non-stop action. You can play it at JustBit casino.
