Using Bitcoin to play Baccarat: A quick guide

If you're new to Baccarat or just curious about how to play Bitcoin Baccarat, here's a quick guide to get you started.

In Baccarat, there are three possible outcomes: a Player win, a Banker win, or a tie. It's important to note that "Banker" doesn't refer to the house; it's just one of the two hands you can bet on.

Here's how the game unfolds:

Folder icon

Placing your bets

First, you'll place your bets on either the Player's hand or the Banker's hand. With Bitcoin, this is as simple as selecting your bet amount and clicking on the field you want to bet.

I’ll bet on the player to show you how it’s done:

hand icon

Dealing the cards

Two cards are dealt to both the Player and the Banker. The dealer, or the player holding the shoe, slides one card face up into the Player's box on the table, then one card into the Banker's box. This process is repeated, so each hand ends up with two cards.

pencil notepad icon

Announcing the totals

The values of the cards are announced. Tens and face cards are worth zero points, while all other cards are worth their face value, with Aces worth one point. If a hand's total is more than 10, the second digit is the value of the hand.

For instance, a hand with a 9 and a 6 totals 15, which counts as five points. The goal is to bet on the hand that totals closest to nine.

Award Icon

Natural win

If the first two cards total 8 or 9 for either the Player or the Banker, it's called a natural win, and the game is over. Bets are then cashed out.

Drawing a third card:

Now, whether the Player gets a third card depends on the point totals. The Player hand is completed first. If the Player has a total of 8 or 9, no additional cards are drawn. The Player stands on totals of 6 or 7.

For totals between 0 and 5, the Player draws a third card unless the Banker has 8 or 9, in which case the Banker wins without further draws.

Banker's third card rules:

If the Player stands, the Banker draws a card if their total is 0-5 and stays pat with a total of 6 or 7. If the Player draws a third card, the Banker's draw depends on the value of that card:

  • If the Player’s third card is 9, 10, face-card, or Ace, the Banker draws with 0-3 and stays with 4-7.
  • If the Player’s third card is 8, the Banker draws with 0-2 and stays with 3-7.
  • If the Player’s third card is 6 or 7, the Banker draws with 0-6 and stays with 7.
  • If the Player’s third card is 4 or 5, the Banker draws with 0-5 and stays with 6-7.
  • If the Player’s third card is 2 or 3, the Banker draws with 0-4 and stays with 5-7.

Determining the winner:

After all cards are dealt, the hand closest to a total of 9 wins. If it's a tie, neither hand wins or loses.

When it comes to baccarat, Stake Casino may have only 14 games, but trust me, it’s all about quality over quantity here. You’ll find top-notch titles from Evolution and Live 88. Some of the standout options include Golden Wealth Baccarat and Lightning Baccarat.

I love that you can quickly find the game you want. By clicking on the Live Casino on the left side of the screen and by choosing the provider, you can filter Baccarat games easily - no hussle, just pure play. With a low house edge of 1.10% (Banker bet at 1.06%, Player at 1.24%, and Tie at 14.36%), it’s easy to win and enjoy the gameplay.

As for safety and overall transaction security, Stake uses SSL encryption to guard your data against third parties. Plus, this casino holds a Curacao gaming license and has a clear anti-money laundering policy and privacy policy. You can check that on the bottom of the page.

If you want to explore loads of titles and playstyles in Baccarat, then Bitcasino is the place to be. This Bitcoin Baccarat casino features over 100 Baccarat titles, some of which are quite popular, like Bombay Club Baccarat, Salon Prive Baccarat, and Bonsai Speed Baccarat. These games are brought to you by Evolution Gaming and Live 88 developers.

But, what I loved the most about Bitcasino is its intuitive design that allows clear navigation. There’s even a whole section dedicated only to Live Casino games on the left side. Here, you can click directly on Live Baccarat and filter through the providers to find your favorite title.

Apart from that, Bitcasino is also known for its wholesome welcome bonus and cashback offers - that’s why I listed it in the top 5 live crypto Baccarat casinos. Newcomers get a 100% deposit increase up to 1500 USDT, plus they can opt for 20% cashback up to 25000 USDT.

BC.Game is a go-to for my online Bitcoin Baccarat sessions, especially because this place offers a good balance of quantity and quality. There are over 66 Baccarat games on BC.Game casino, including popular titles like Fortune Baccarat and XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat.

Also, I appreciate knowing that every game is transparent and fair due to provably fair outcomes backed by blockchain technology. Plus, finding the title I want is quite easy. I love how BC.Game makes an effort to put a number of games from each developer when you try to filter it out. Evolution Gaming and Eazugi take the cake here - obviously.

Now onto withdrawals and deposits: BC.Game shines in this aspect, too. It’s quite easy to fund your casino account, in just a couple of clicks. Withdrawing is also easy, but it takes around 1 hour for the casino to check your request and pay you up.

I can’t create the list of the best Baccarat BTC casinos without mentioning BitStarz, really.  This place features over 34 live dealer variations of Baccarat, coming in hot from developers like Evolution Gaming and Platipus. Whether you prefer standard or low-variance forms, BitStarz has you covered. I love that the table minimums start at just $0.20, making it accessible for small-stake players like myself.

The welcome package is also fantastic. You get a 100% deposit increase up to 5 BTC and 180 free spins, but you do need to go through four deposits. Plus, this casino features a massive VIP program with a customizable bonus plan and a dedicated account manager. I find this quite helpful for all those who want to commit to one casino.

BitStarz is also a safe and secure casino, which means that you can play with peace of mind. This casino features strong security protocols like SSL encryption and KYC procedures for players.

Flush Casino has quickly become one of my top picks for playing Baccarat, especially because of its focus on diversity. This casino features over 150 Baccarat games, with providers like Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play Live. Finding these games is also super easy, as the site features filter options you can use.

Founded in 2020, Flush doesn’t require personal details for signups - just an anonymous username and an email. This anonymity extends to withdrawals, where wallet addresses are secured. This makes me gamble with a peace of mind and allows me to focus on the gameplay.

Now, for the best part, the welcome bonus. Flush has two signup offers - 100% bonus up to 1 BTC, if you deposit from $10 to $200. But if you like to step into Baccarat gaming with $200 or more, you get a 150% deposit bonus instead.

Which casino gas the best live Bitcoin Baccarat?

A casino with the best live Baccarat Bitcoin games is definitely the BitStarz iGaming site. This casino features over 30 Live Baccarat games powered by Evolution Gaming and Platipus.

One thing that I found here that really made an impression on me is the way you can bet on the Mini Baccarat game. After the round is over, you’re given three options:

  1. Make the same bet, only twice as big.
  2. Make the same bet again.
  3. Change the bet and start over.

Now, this helps me to practice the Martingale System strategy with ease. And with this strategy, I’m likely to win sooner or later; the numbers are working in my favor.

How does Bitcoin Baccarat withdrawal work?

Let’s say you already deposited some BTC and had a couple of great hands in Baccarat. Now, it’s time to withdraw the winnings back to your crypto wallet. I recently played some games on BC.Game casino, so I’ll use this site as an example.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to withdraw Bitcoin from Baccarat winnings.

Step 1 - Go to the ‘’Withdraw’’ section

First, locate your profile icon at the top right part of the screen, then hover with the mouse over it. You’ll see a drop-down menu with a lot of options, ‘’Withdraw’’ being one of them. Well, click on it.

Alt text: BC.Game withdraw option

Step 2 - Insert the needed info

When you click on ‘’Withdraw,’’ you’ll land on a page where you have to insert some information about wallet address, amount, and related info. It looks like this:

Alt text: BC.Game withdraw section

Now, as you can see, there are a couple of things we need, ‘’Withdrawal Address’’ being the most important one. I already selected BTC coin and Segwit network as transactions work best there.

Step 3 - Get your wallet address

For this step, I’ll use my Phantom wallet address. Phantom is a unique and very convenient crypto wallet; I mostly use it for gambling with BTC or Solana gambling.

Here’s how it looks for me when I click on my Phantom wallet and click on the BTC wallet address.

Alt text: BTC address Phantom wallet

Step 4 - Copy the Address

Now, it’s important to copy the address from your Phantom wallet and paste it back into the BC.Game site, in the ‘’Withdraw Address’’ field. I did it in seconds, and that’s the beauty of playing Baccarat with Bitcoin.

Alt text: BC.Game withdrawal address copied

Also, a good thing about BC.Game is that this casino displays clear fees and withdrawal times. I really appreciate the honesty here. So, you can see that your withdrawal will have a 0.000035 BTC fee, which is around $2.25. Plus, the withdrawing time is from 1 to 6 hours - pretty informative.

Step 5 - Click on Confirm and get your money

Lastly, you just click on ‘’Confirm’’, a big green button at the bottom - you can’t miss it, really. With the completed withdrawal request, BC.Game Casino will review it and pay you up as fast as possible.

How I picked the top BTC Baccarat casinos

Bitcoin gambling on baccarat should not be taken lightly because it involves betting real money. If you don't know what to look out for when choosing a site to play BTC baccarat, here are the key factors I considered:

Bonus large icon

Bonuses and promo offers

Bonuses can make a big difference. I look for Bitcoin Baccarat (as well as Bitcoin live Baccarat) sites that offer generous welcome bonuses and cashback offers. These bonuses can provide extra funding when the game isn't going your way.

One good example of such a casino is the Bitcasino gambling site. Here, you can get a 100% deposit increase of up to 1500 USDT. You can gamble with BTC, too; that’s not a problem here.

Plus, the casino offers a sleek cashback bonus, which is perfect for Live Baccarat games, as it allows you to play more when you get a refund on your losses. When you deposit at least 50 USDT, you can get up to 25000 USDT in cashback in the next 8 days.

flash icon

Fast and easy deposits and withdrawals

Speed matters. I choose Bitcoin Baccarat gambling sites that have instant cashouts and deposits. The transaction fees are generally low (around $2 for BTC), and while the speed of transfers depends on the blockchain (2-3 minutes with BTC), the best sites ensure quick processing.

shield check icon

Security and licensing

Security is a top priority, no matter what. I pick casinos that use multi-layer encryption (usually SSL tech) to protect my information. Licensing also plays a big part, with many top BTC casinos being licensed in Curacao or Costa Rica.

These licenses help regulate the industry and ensure fair play. It would be best to land a UKGC or MGA casino, and it’s an absolute red flag to go withIsle of Man casino as they are known for scamming people.

bills icon

Diversity of games and providers

Variety is the spice of life. I love it when the top Bitcoin Baccarat site offers different Baccarat games from multiple software developers like Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Ezugi, and Bombay Live. These providers are well-known for their rich graphics and HD streaming with real dealers.

That’s why, when I want to play some live Baccarat, my number one casino is Stake iGaming hub. This casino features 13 Live Baccarat games from Evolution, Live 83, and Pragmatic Play - the thrill is guaranteed!

support chat icon

Support

Good support is essential. I look for casinos that offer multiple support channels, including live chat, email, and even social media. Detailed FAQ sections are also a big plus as it helps me get a quick glance over the most popular questions players tend to have.

But the thing that really matters is the speed of live support, and FortuneJack casino really takes the cake here - I waited only 5 seconds before someone replied to my question. Best of all, the guy gave me a link and answered my question easily.

My favorite Bitcoin Baccarat games

I love exploring the different variations of Bitcoin Baccarat since each one is fun in its own way. From my experience (quite a fun journey), these types of Baccarat games left the best impression on me:

Upward pointing graph

Punto Banco

Punto Banco is a classic version of Baccarat and one of my favorite ones. In this game, two hands are dealt: one for the player (Punto) and one for the banker (Banco). The goal is to get as close to 9 as possible. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, while 10s and face cards are worth zero, and Aces count as 1.

I love that in Punto Banco, if either the player or the banker has a hand value of 8 or 9 right after the deal, they have "a natural," and the round ends.

My go-to casino for this type of Baccarat is the Cloudbet iGaming site, and I love playing Classic Baccarat from Hacksaw Gaming here. The game's graphics and sounds are simple and in a minimalistic fashion - this keeps me more focused on the game.

Upward pointing graph

3-Card Baccarat

3-Card Baccarat adds an interesting twist by giving each hand three cards instead of two. You can bet on the Player, Banker, or Tie. The hand closest to 9 wins, but here’s the fun part - the second digit in the number is what counts.

For example, if a hand totals 15, it’s counted as 5. I love that this variation features an additional layer of strategy, especially with the tie bet. My favorite title with this type is 3-Card Baccarat by One Touch, on BC.Game casino.

The game is simple, yet the ability to ‘’flip’’ the card yourself gives me the feeling of playing it in a real casino with real people.

Upward pointing graph

Baccarat Banque

Baccarat Banque is perfect for those who enjoy a challenge. In this version, you can bet on the Banker, Player, or Tie, just like in Punto Banco. But here, the banker's position is fixed and doesn’t pass when the banker loses.

I find it fascinating that this game is played with just three decks instead of six, making it more challenging to keep track of the cards. When I bet on the bankerin Baccarat Banque, I know that if anyone has a natural 9 or 8, all hands are revealed and compared immediately.

Upward pointing graph

Mini Baccarat

Mini Baccarat is a fantastic choice for a faster-paced game. This version feels similar to the other variants but with fewer seats at the table, so the action moves quickly. The bets are the same - Player, Banker, and Tie - and the hand values are formed in the usual way.

I enjoy Mini Baccarat because it’s perfect for quick sessions when I want to get in on the action without a lengthy commitment, something like an ‘’In and out’’.

Upward pointing graph

Chemin de Fer

Chemin de Fer is a unique variation where the banker position is passed around, making it accessible to all players at the table. The card values are the same - cards from 2 to 9 are worth their face value, aces are worth 1 point, and face cards count as zero.

I find it amazingly fun that in Chemin de Fer, the banker and players are all striving to make a hand value as close to 9 as possible. The rotating banker position makes everything different, so strategy and involvement are much greater.

How to play Baccarat with Bitcoin [which strategy to use?]

Playing Baccarat with Bitcoin for fun is one thing, but since this is a game of skill (just like Bitcoin poker), learning to play Baccarat with BTC and winning is possible. I’ll share some of my favorite tactics on how to play Baccarat with Bitcoin and increase your chances of winning:

  1. The martingale system:

The Martingale System is a classic. I double my bet after every loss, so when I finally win, I recover all my losses plus a profit equal to my original bet.

For example, if I start with $10 and lose, my next bet is $20, then $40, and so on. But make sure to set a budget because this can escalate quickly.

  1. The paroli system:

I love the Paroli System, also known as the Reverse Martingale. Here, I double my bet after each win and revert to my initial bet after a loss. If I start with $5 and win, my next bet is $10. If I win again, I bet $20.

This strategy is great for maximizing winning streaks, but it can be a real pain if you can’t break a sweat in terms of luck.

  1. The 1-3-2-6 system:

The 1-3-2-6 System is another great strategy. It’s a sequence of bets**: $10, $30, $20, $60**. If I win four rounds in a row, I start over. This system helps manage my bets and potential winnings without risking too much.

  1. The fibonacci system:

The Fibonacci System is based on a simple sequence: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, and so on. If I start with a $1 bet and lose, I bet $1 again. If I lose again, I move to $2, then $3, etc.

When I win, I step back two numbers in the sequence. It’s a systematic way to manage bets and recover losses. But again, if you’re not feeling it in terms of luck, it’s better not to use this strategy.

  1. The labouchere system:

The Labouchere System is a bit more complex. I create a sequence of numbers, say 1, 2, 3. My bet is the sum of the first and last numbers, so $4. If I win, I cross out those numbers; if I lose, I add the lost bet to the end of the sequence.

It requires some tracking but can be effective, and it really narrows down luck in the overall outcome.
