Ethereum roulette sites: Where to play + tips

Roulette is one of the most well-loved classic casino games, and it owes this mostly to the simplicity of the rules. But simple doesn’t have to mean boring, and the best Ethereum roulette sites nowadays offer an array of different roulette variants that go far beyond the traditional game.

In this guide, I will be sharing my list of favorite Ethereum roulette sites, the ones that tick all the boxes both for new and experienced players. I will also be including some tips for playing the live version of the game, as well as some strategies to help you have the best experience.

But first things first - how do you play Ethereum roulette games online?

How to play Ethereum Roulette games online

The best thing about playing online Ethereum roulette is that you get to do it from the comfort of your own home. Understanding the rules of the game is simple, and these don’t vary, whether you’re playing ETH or Bitcoin roulette, although different software providers tend to add their own special touches and betting options.

The outcome of the game is completely up to chance, but this is not to say that you should actually just sit down and just leave it all to chance. Good luck can always use a strong helping hand, and this is exactly what I plan on sharing with you here - starting with the basic rules to help you enjoy the best Ethereum roulette experience.

The roulette wheel is the main feature of the game and is divided into numbered pockets**. European roulette has 37 pockets and 1 zero, while American roulette has 38 pockets and 2 zeros, which pushes the house edge slightly more in favor of the casino.** The numbered pockets alternate between red and black, while the zero and double zero pockets are green. The dealer spins the wheel and releases the ball, which eventually lands in one of the numbered pockets and determines the outcome of the round. This is how a typical roulette game, no matter the variant, proceeds.

Place your bets: Place chips on the table to bet on numbers, colors, or groups of numbers.

  1. Choose the types of bet you prefer: Inside bets are placed on specific numbers or small groups of numbers, while outside bets are placed on broader options like red/black, odd/even, or high/low numbers.
  2. Spin the wheel: The dealer spins the wheel and drops the ball onto it.
  3. The winner is declared: The ball lands in a numbered pocket, and bets are resolved based on where the bets were placed.
  4. Payouts: Winning bets are paid according to the fixed payout table.

To play Ethereum roulette, all you need to do is choose one of my recommended sites below, register, deposit some ETH, and head over to the roulette section of the games lobby.

Best Ethereum Roulette sites I’ve played at

I have tested scores of Ethereum roulette websites - and had great fun doing this, make no mistake - but I always find myself returning to the below trusted sites. Not only do they offer an excellent roulette experience, they’re also extremely user-friendly and provide the full online gambling fun package even when it comes to other crypto casino games.

You’ve got 87 variants of Ethereum roulette to splurge on here, and aren’t they fun! The obvious choices are all here, of course - Lightning Roulette, Immersive Roulette, Quantum Roulette… But the joy of Cloudbet is that it goes way beyond the obvious variants. Take Switch Studios’ 9 Pots of Gold Roulette - this RNG variant is an Irish-themed delight, turning the iconic ETH slot on its head with golden shamrocks landing randomly on the wheel to boost wins up to 500x. Be aware that it’s not a cheap date, with bets starting at approximately 0.00012 ETH, but the thrills are well worth it.

The live ETH roulette section is powered by Evolution, OnAir Entertainment, Playtech, Live88, Ezugi, and Pragmatic Play. Vivo is even present with its trademark ‘naughty but nice’ variants - check out Aladdin roulette if you want to see what I mean.

I didn’t manage to find any live variants that are particularly low-roller friendly, though. Most tables have a minimum €0.25 buy-in, so make sure you can afford approximately 0.00012 ETH a pop before settling in.

Looking for Ethereum roulette online with faster gameplay, reasonably low buy-ins, and highly-immersive visuals that come in a range of variants? Auto roulette may just be the new bestie you’ve been looking for, and no-one does it better than Betplay.

Ten tables out of 45 at this site are auto roulette in some form or fashion. Pragmatic Play has the classic RNG Auto Roulette, which follows the regular rules with the addition of an auto play button for those of us who don’t want to waste time (or, in my case, are too lazy).

However, if it’s a more exotic take you’re after, check out the 7MojosLive live variants. Auto Roulette Live is automated with no live dealer, featuring a standard European Roulette format with a single zero; 500x Auto Roulette Live adds multipliers up to (no prizes for guessing) 500x; and the 500x Noir variant adds a more sophisticated visual and more expensive buy-ins starting at 0.000242 ETH.

One thing that does bother me is that, although technically they fall within the live category of games, there’s no live dealer in any of the auto roulette versions. For me, that makes it a bit of a misnomer. So, if you prefer your live games to come with an actual dealer, Evolution streams the Casino Malta roulette variant directly from one of the island’s casinos. There are other tables with a live dealer, too, some in different language, so Betplay really caters to all tastes.

Flush offers some 50 Ethereum gambling roulette options, give or take. Live tables are provided by Evolution, BeterLive, and Pragmatic Play, but it’s the mega-multiplier variants that really get me excited here. Quantum Roulette, for example, rains multipliers up to 500x, as does Lightning Roulette. BeterLive’s Gravity Auto Roulette goes further, with 1000x multipliers.

If you’re more of a newcomer, you’re possibly wary of big numbers and would rather start out small and simple. Flush casino also makes this possible with games like iSoftBet’s European Roulette Small Bets, which lets you put down *super low stakes of approximately 0.0000435 ETH* ($0.10).

Flush is one of the Ethereum roulette sites that are part of Pragmatic Play’s Drops & Wins Roulette tournaments, so if you’re confident enough, make sure you join the leaderboard as there are some big prizes to land. Rewards are paid out directly in the crypto you’re playing with, so whether you're playing roulette with Solana or Ethereum, it won't matter. The stake range here is incredibly versatile, too, starting at €0.10 (0.0000435 ETH) and going up to €10,000 (4.83 ETH).

I wouldn’t recommend BitStarz as one of the top Ethereum roulette sites for low-rollers, but if you typically play with a sizeable budget, you can go wild here. There are almost 40 roulette variants, although there’s no category or game filter. Using the search bar as directed will pull up all the roulette options, but you can’t go back to the search results after clicking on any of them. Mighty annoying, and results in much precious time wasted scrolling, typing, scrolling. For a multi-award winning site, this is a really weird UX flaw.

Once you do identify your preferred variants and try to make a deposit, you’ll realize that high-rollers are more likely to want to roll with the action here. This is not because the stake ranges are particularly prohibitive, but because anything less than 0.15 ETH as a first deposit isn’t accepted.

The selection of both RNG and live roulette is excellent, however, and there’s also a good choice of Ethereum blackjack if you’re into that. Those who want to bet high will love Immersive Roulette and Speed Roulette by Evolution, as well as **Authentic Gaming’s Platinum Authentic Roulette, where you can bet up to €10,000 (approximately 4.84 ETH).

Ethereum live roulette truly shines at JustBit casino, with around 70 titles from:

  • Evolution
  • Absolute Live Gaming
  • Pragmatic Play
  • Vivo Swint
  • Wifinity
  • BetSoft.

Pragmatic Play’s selection is by far the best, spanning the plain and simple Live Roulette to Azure Roulette, VIP Roulette, Auto Roulette, and the classic version of roulette in various languages like Turkish.

Wifinity’s Bar Roulette 2,000x can also be quite lucrative. Depending on the mode you choose, you can land between 1 and 20 multipliers, with payouts ranging up to 2,000x for straight-up bets. However, be warned that the game is rather slow-paced. Every time I played it, it took a good five minutes for the bets to close, although maybe this depends on the time of day you play. That said, since the minimum bet is €0.50 (0.000242 ETH), maybe it’s good to have some time to plan your wagers well.

This time around, this is my only recommended site that doesn’t give roulette its well-deserved spot on the main menu. This is a shame as the selection is good enough to justify it. So if you’re specifically looking for the above games, you’ll need to use the search bar. Alternatively, you can click on ‘live casino’ and look for the roulette options - however, there’s no equivalent for RNG roulette.

It's good to know that this casino is also one of our top choices when it comes to ETH baccarat games.

Where to play Ethereum Live Roulette (+ tips)

All the Ethereum roulette sites I recommend above have a superb selection of live dealer games, so the best place to play depends a lot on what you’re after, how big your budget is, whether you’re a confident player, and so forth.

My first tip before choosing an Ethereum casino is to take a good look at the minimum buy-ins to make sure they’re not too steep for you. Cloudbet’s selection, for instance, is excellent, but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone with a modest budget, as most tables ask you to put in at least €0.25 **(**approximately 0.00012 ETH). Let’s say you’re only committing to spending €2 - you’ll be out of play within eight rounds.

If you’d like to enjoy hours of play with a low budget without sacrificing potentially big payouts, my suggestion would be Flush casino. Its Pragmatic Play Drops & Wins Roulette tournament allows you to take part with as little as €0.10 (0.0000435 ETH), so you can get a good run for your money before running out of steam.

Flush’s roulette leaderboards are also well-suited for big spenders, as the stake range goes up to €10,000 (4.83 ETH).

If what you’re looking for in your live roulette is variety, then you can’t go wrong with JustBit, which hosts tables from seven live casino providers. These include the big names like Pragmatic Play, but also smaller ones like Wifinity, which makes for a good variety.

Looking to hunt for the top live Ethereum roulette sites by yourself? Here are my top tips to consider:

  • Check the stake ranges to make sure they’re not too expensive (or low!) for you
  • See if there are well-known software providers like Evolution, as these are known for high streaming quality
  • Live casino bonuses such as free bets or rakebacks will help you extend your budget
  • Make sure that the live variants go beyond the basic choices like European Roulette and Classic Roulette
  • Test the games on your mobile device to see if they suffer from any lags or glitches
  • Take a look at the cashier policy so you don’t find issues withdrawing any of your roulette winnings.

My go-to Ethereum Roulette strategies

Although this game depends largely on chance, there are some Ethereum roulette strategies that, if used well, can help maximize your chances of winning. They won’t guarantee a win, but they will help your bankroll last longer and give you better odds. Also, it’s always fun to plot about how best to overthrow the House, right? Here are some tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way, and you can apply them to all forms of altcoin roulette.

  1. If you’re not familiar with the game, look for an Ethereum roulette sites free play option. This is typically available for RNG variants only, as casinos wouldn’t be able to afford to pay for studio time and for the professional dealers without charging for it. You’ll be able to practice the rules and familiarize yourself with the betting options before you risk your actual money.
  2. Stick with even-money bets if you want a consistent chance of small wins, especially on European roulette tables where the house edge is only 2.7%. Even-money bets (Red/Black, Odd/Even, 1-18/19-36) offer an almost 50/50 chance of winning.
  3. If you’re more experienced and you’re looking for higher payouts than even-money bets, but still want a reasonable chance to win, column or dozen bets offer a good balance. The odds are 32.4% in European roulette and 31.6% in American Roulette, with a 2:1 payout.
  4. Always choose European Roulette (house edge 2.7%) over the American version (5.26% due to the extra double zero).
  5. Avoid five-number bets when playing American Roulette. These bets cover 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3, and are known as the worst bet on the table due to the high house edge of 7.89%.
  6. Mix safer even-money bets with a few riskier bets to stay in the game longer while still having a chance at big payouts.
  7. Be wary of expensive strategies like the Martingale System, which involves doubling your bet after each loss. The theory is that when you eventually win, you recover all losses plus a profit equal to the original bet. However, if your budget isn’t big enough, you can end up pushed out of the game before you have a chance to turn your luck.
  8. If you’re keen on following a popular strategy, the Reverse Martingale (Paroli System) has you doubling up your bet after every win and returning to your original stake after a loss. The idea is to capitalize on winning streaks while minimizing losses.
  9. The Fibonacci Strategy is another less expensive option. After a loss, you increase your bet according to the classic Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc.), but after a win, you move back two steps in the sequence.
  10. Another fairly safe option is the D’Alembert System, where you increase your bet by one unit after a loss and decrease it by one unit after a win. It works well with even-money bets.

Bonus tip: While many players love them, I tend to steer clear of the above named strategies (7 - 10) as they really require you to commit time and bankroll. Instead, I focus on tips 1 - 6, which make logical sense to me because they involve using the House Edge and odds to your advantage, rather than asking you to double up your bets.
