After foraging a high-profile partnership with Newcastle United in August, the second Premier League team to join the ambassador program of Sportsbet.io following the front-of-shirt sponsor deal with Southampton, this popular crypto betting platform announced on Thursday (November 23) a new trio of ambassadors.

The latest addition to this brand’s ambassador corps includes a trio of Kenyan influencers and a Nigerian photographer, chosen for their vibrant personalities and creative energy. This group of influencers will boost the brand’s status in Africa.

The latest batch of ambassadors includes Kenyan radio and TV personality Kerry Martin, content creator Sean Andrew, and Faith Nthenya Mutwa, an online media personality. Popular Nigerian photographer Thompson S. Ekong rounds up the latest batch of ambassadors.

The new members of the ‘Join the Crypto Experience’ program have a unique artistic style and ability to network and build connections. This group of ambassadors can share their energy with the African betting community and represent the crypto betting brand.

Small Army of Influential Ambassadors

The leading crypto sportsbook has an open door policy for ambassadors, always eager to partner with big names from diverse industries such as sports, TV, music, art, and social media influencers or streamers eager to leverage their reputations to connect their audiences with this sportsbook.

The lineup of ambassadors includes several football clubs, a trend initiated by Brazilian team São Paulo FC, which signed a 3-year sponsorship deal in 2021. Football star Denilson is a global ambassador, while the Brazilian market is additionally stimulated by CS:GO team  Imperial. No corner of the globe is neglected, with Japanese baseball legend Akifumi Takahashi being part of the Sportsbet.io team.

The latest group of African ambassadors will join previously hired hip-hop artist Cassper Nyovest from South Africa. The African sports betting market is projected to provide $750 million in revenue for 2023 but will grow to $1.2 billion by 2027.

About  60% of Africans are younger than 25 years old, so the young population, rapid adoption of mobile technology, and a passion for sports are key ingredients for a booming sports betting market. Nigeria and Kenya are two countries following South Africa’s lead and starting to regulate the market.

Pioneering Crypto Bookie

Sportsbet.io is one of the first online bookies to start accepting crypto payments. The operator was established in 2016 as a brand under the umbrella of the Yolo Group. The sport includes over 350,000 pre-match events annually, and the betting markets encompass popular sports leagues from Europe and North America with in-play bets offered. Players can also find odds on eSports events.

The philosophy to embrace cutting-edge technologies is not evident only from token acceptance for deposits and withdrawals. Sportsbet.io was one of the first to offer streaming of popular sports and an early cash-out function. The company aims to redefine the online betting landscape through cryptocurrency expertise and fair gaming experience.
