Americas Cardroom Poker Review (2024)

We felt that Americas Cardroom was an intriguing site to review. After all, we’d heard about several improvements the company had made to its platform in a bid to cater to a more modern audience. One such development, i.e. its introduction of Bitcoin transactions, particularly drew our attention here at CryptoCasinos. So our team decided to review the site and find out for ourselves how it fares with all the technological improvements it’s made over the years. Here, we’ll be looking at the games on offer, the ongoing bonuses and promotions, the mobile experience, and more.

Americas Cardroom Banner

History of the Brand

Americas Cardroom was founded in 2001 as a poker room for one of the world’s largest sportsbooks. It was later bought out by the Winning Poker Network (WPN), and continued to operate until, in 2007. At that point, it no longer had a home and didn’t accept U.S. players. Of course, that didn’t quite fit in with the brand.

In 2011, Americas Cardroom made an acquisition of its own when it bought out Doyles Room, which also meant that they then owned its database of poker players. This repositioned Americas Cardroom in the growing craze that was online poker. It not only revived Americas Cardroom, but it also ended numerous issues that Doyles Room had in terms of payment and licensing. Doyles Room, which was named after poker legend Doyle Brunson, was retired as a brand.

Website Layout

The layout of the Americas Cardroom website is both visually appealing and user-friendly. The American-flag inspired background, along with the enormous icons, complements an otherwise minimalistic feel. We’re also impressed by the layout and functionality of the site. For example, you can click on the Tournaments tab to see all current and future tournaments, and even previous events. The poker client also features a fantastic admin page that lets you know which bonuses are available to you, the level of progress you’ve made with your current bonus, and what’s required of you to reach the next level.

The cash tables are all about The Beast. This is the name of a non-contributory rake race that pays players based on how many Beast Points they accumulate when playing Omaha Poker and Texas Hold’em poker. It takes place every week when tournament tickets and cash prizes are paid out to those players who frequent the tables the most. This promotion ensures that there’s always action at the tables.

There’s no shortage of Sit n Go events and poker tournaments on the schedule, and many come with guaranteed prize pools. You can even be rewarded for playing a higher number of Sit n Go games by climbing your way up the leaderboard in the Sit n Crush competition. So you can be rewarded for how often you play, as opposed to how well you do in the games themselves. There are also a number of tournaments on demand, which start as soon as there are enough players on board.

Casino Games

The Casino offers a number of games for when you feel like giving your poker face a rest. The games, which are sourced from Costa Rican provider Digital Gaming Solutions, are small in number (around 40). So if you’re looking for a casino experience that emphasis slots over poker, you might want to check out some other great options out there such as Casoo.

Sports Betting

Another departure from poker is the sports betting option. Here, you’ll see a section of traditional sports such as football, baseball, and soccer. If you’d like to place the occasional bet, this will do you just fine. However, as was the case with the casino, if you’re looking for something more expansive, you likely won’t be satisfied here. An alternative option would be Intertops, which provides a great all-round sports betting and casino experience.

Americas Cardroom Download

There’s an Americas Cardroom download version of the software available for users of both Windows and Mac desktop computers. The light software can be downloaded and installed in a matter of minutes. Once the software has been installed, you’ll need to create an account. The site will email you a welcome message, and then you’re free to deposit funds and join a table for a game of poker.

Bonuses and Promotions

We’ve already discussed the Beast. But there’s a welcome bonus too, which, while it does change from time to time, is sometimes a match bonus on your first deposit. So that’s certainly worth claiming when you create your account. Just make sure you enter the right Americas Cardroom promo code when claiming any bonus.

Here are just two of the many ongoing promotions you’ll find at the site.

As well as The Beast, Americas Cardroom also offers a rakeback, which awards you a 27% rakeback on a weekly basis. The money is paid directly into your account balance. The rakeback is subject to approximately 7% in fees, but it’s the maximum rakeback allowed, and so is a generous promotion worth playing for.

VIP Club

There are also Elite Benefits to be achieved at Americas Cardroom in the form of its VIP club. Here, you get to achieve higher military rankings according to how much you play. You’ll be rewarded for achieving these rankings through cash bonuses, exclusive invites to live events, and more.

Mobile App

To access the app, you’ll need to visit the site’s homepage and click on a button to log in on a compatible mobile device. The button doesn’t appear on a desktop or laptop computer. The site’s original mobile offering only supported Jackpot Poker games at the minimum buy-in level of $2. However, that is no longer the case, and you can now buy in at every available level. You can even play up to four tables simultaneously.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

Bitcoin is the most popular payment option for making deposits at Americas Cardroom, not only for Americans, but also for international players. Americas Cardroom players may also make deposits and withdrawals with debit cards like Visa, cash transfers, and e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller. Below are some of the methods of payment accepted by Americas Cardroom.

The crypto coin works in a similar way to an e-wallet. The difference is that you can buy and sell Bitcoin on a crypto exchange. Once you deposit your coins into your Americas Cardroom account, they’re converted into U.S. dollars. If you make a withdrawal using Bitcoin, your payment will be processed in no longer than three days. You can deposit and withdraw up to $10,000 with this payment method.

Debit and Credit Cards

Depending on your region, you can make deposits using four of the most popular card options: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex. There’s a 10% transaction fee on Visa deposits, and gift cards and prepaid cards are not allowed. Limits for both deposits and withdrawals also vary by region, and card type.

E-wallets are funded by either debit card, credit card, or bank transfer. You can deposit up to $25,000. Deposits are instant, but it takes up to three days for your cashout to reach you. Those three days are to review your cashout request, while the actual processing of the withdrawal is instant.

Customer Support

It’s hard to reach the level of Americas Cardroom without stellar customer support. So we expected to be impressed by this part of the service. We weren’t disappointed. You can reach the customer support team 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are also multiple ways for you to get in touch. You can reach them through the web form available on every page of the system by email, or by calling their toll-free phone number. You can also chat to a support agent via live chat, with any enquiry made this way dealt with as speedily as it would be using any of the other methods. We found each of the support staff we encountered to be friendly and courteous.

Americas Cardroom has come a long way. There’s been an improved standard when it comes to the software, and it now has a mobile app in addition to a downloadable version of the platform. It also offers a much-improved tournament schedule, and there are multiple promotions with the potential to be lucrative for players at the table. With interesting features like “The Beast”, CryptoCasinos recommends this site to anyone interested in spicing up their poker action.

Are the deals genuinely random?

The Random Number Generator is tested by an independent company called iTech Labs. After testing the site, iTech concluded that the sequences of cards produced by the RNG are non-repeatable and unpredictable. So you can be confident that the distribution of the cards is honest, fair, and correct.

The 27% rakeback is the maximum allowed by the World Poker Network (WPN). There used to be special deals available on other networks. However, such deals are no longer available to new players, so 27% is the maximum allowed.

An Americas Cardroom app is available for both smartphones and tablets. As of now, however, only Blitz cash games and Jackpot Poker are available. So if you want to play any other poker games, you’ll need to access them through a desktop or laptop computer.
