Our rating
Ever since 2001, Americas Cardroom casino, now rebranded as ACR Poker, has been a leader in the online poker community.
Naturally, I had to take a closer look to see what all the fuss was about and do some serious digging. What I found was enough to sit down and compile a comprehensive Americas Cardroom review, highlighting both its pros and cons.
Quick reminder: Before you hop on your top-tier VPN (in case you’re from a restricted state) to play poker here, I suggest you pause and weigh the pros and cons. This might be one of the top poker sites for US players, but using a VPN doesn’t keep your account safe. Even the casino advises against using it (see the FAQ section).
If you do decide to use a VPN, you’re required to email the casino’s support, stating that WPN won’t be held responsible for any account breaches.
Now that we’ve got this out of the way, let’s talk about what to expect as an Americas Cardroom US player (if you’re coming from one of the states where online poker is legal).
Quick facts
Pros & cons
Games
Basic info about the game section:
Feature | Info |
---|---|
Average RTP | 96% |
Popular Games | Poker |
Expert's Pick | n/a |
Demo Available | No |
The casino offers other games besides poker
Aside from poker, the casino boasts a selection of 777 slots, blackjack, and live dealer sessions. And that’s all I can say about ACR game selection without registering. The thing is, without an account, you can't really check out the games, gaming interface… nada.
I reached out to customer support to see if there’s a possibility to test the games in demo versions even though I’m just browsing. I was told I needed to register first.
Software providers
ACR Poker relies on 2 main software to power its poker and casino games:
Pros and cons
The Game section could be more transparent
I value transparency and think players should know what to expect before committing. So, if you’re like me and prefer to test things out beforehand, I recommend checking out these casinos that offer demo versions:
Cryptos
As a crypto player, you can deposit here using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Tether.
Crypto exchange rates available on the website
Aaccording to the casino, they display the current exchange rate, so you can choose which crypto to use if you have more than one of the accepted options. This way, you can make the most out of your deposits and get the best value.
I do believe it’s a fairly small selection of cryptos compared to, let’s say, , so I suggest you check out its decent combo of popular coins, as well as stable coins.
Pros and cons
Basic crypto starter-pack
I do believe it’s a fairly small selection of cryptos compared to, let’s say, Justbit casino, so I suggest you check out its decent combo of popular coins, as well as stablecoins.
Deposits and withdrawals
Minimum deposit for all cryptocurrencies is $10 or equivalent, and the minimum withdrawal amount starts at $50 or equivalent.
There are no transaction fees on the casino’s end.
How long does Americas Cardroom take to pay out?
So, if you're wondering how long Americas Cardroom takes to payout, it really depends on whether any additional checks are needed.
Crypto withdrawals are processed within an hour after the request if there’s no need for additional reviews or verifications. However, if there are any issues, it could take up to 15 business days to process the withdrawal, which, to be fair, is quite a long timeframe.
Pros and cons
Not the safest withdrawal policy
This casino already doesn’t give a 100% trustworthy vibe, and you might start to feel a bit uneasy when issuing withdrawal.
Therefore, you might want to consider opting for verified, licensed casinos, like Betplay. It excels in quality poker games (and other games as well) and won’t make you feel like waiting for your payouts is akin to waiting for retirement.
Bonuses
What to expect from the bonus offer:
Feature | Info |
---|---|
Welcome Bonus | 50% up to $2000 |
Free Spins | n/a |
Cashback Bonus | n/a |
Wagering Requirements | n/a |
VIP Rewards Availability | Yes |

Other Bonuses Available | Tournaments |
Welcome offer
The Welcome Bonus of $2000 is indeed a massive offer. Plus, you can expect a 50% up to $100 reload bonus on Wednesdays.
Tournaments
And the tournaments? They start with a $1 Million prize pool (The Venom Warmup) if you deposit $55, and escalate to $2 Million PLO Venom tournaments, eventually hitting an $8 Million Mystery Bounty. There's also the Daily Double that gives you a chance for a jackpot.
While these hefty offerings give the impression that ACR is giving other poker-playing casinos a run for their money, some remedy cashbacks, extra spins for slot players, or weekend offerings would make its bonus section complete.
These are just some of the promos mentioned, so I suggest you click on the Promotions section to get a better look at all of them, as many are seasonal and temporary.
Leveling system for long-staying players
When it comes to the Elite Program, the casino continues its generosity. There are six loyalty levels: Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, General, and 5-Star General. The higher the level, the better the cash rewards.
Bear in mind that the program involves specific rules and methods to advance through the levels and maintain your current one. Luckily, it's thoroughly explained on the website. Just click on What's Hot, and then on Elite Benefits.
Pros and cons
The bonus offer lacks consistent promotions
The bonus section seems lavish in terms of prizes, and leveling system. However, it's the cashback, weekly reloads, rakebacks, and similar offerings that give the players incentives.
App
Here’s what you need to know about the casino’s mobile gaming options:
Feature | Info |
---|---|
Mobile App Available | Yes |
Mobile Browser Experience | Copies dekstop |
Ease of Navigation | Seamless/td> |
Loading Speed | About 4s |
Helpful Tools | Search bar, menu, shortcuts to important sections |
Americas Cardroom app is available for Android and iOS. In addition, you can also download ACR poker for Windows and Mac.
Device compatibility
Americas Cardroom app review
The mobile app looks minimal compared to the desktop version; it has a fixed navbar with a menu bar, and you can scroll down to see the list of promotions. However, one of the main drawbacks players complain about is frequent game malfunction. This is what one of the users had to say about this:
What to do if Americas Cardroom slots aren’t working on iPhone?
In case Americas Cardroom slots are not working on your iPhone, the best thing to do is contact customer support. Make sure to thoroughly explain the issue and provide screenshots if you can. It could be a problem with your device or your internet connection since the casino claims its app is iOS compatible.
Pros and cons
The app is a hit or miss
So, should you download Americas Cardroom Poker on your device? Only if poker on the go is really your jam.
As for the Americas Cardroom mobile web version — it mimics the desktop experience; however, it looks way too clunky, at least for my taste. I’d rather go with the Bitcasino app. It' functional, and less aesthetically oversaturated.
Security
Safety measures are as follows:

Is Americas Cardroom casino legit?
Yes and no. To be frank, ,I can’t claim that Americas Cardroom casino is completely legit,, but I also can’t flag it as an outright scam either.
Let me break it down for you.
If you’re in the USA and looking to play, the first thing you need to do is double-check (if not triple-check) the gambling legislation in your state. As of this year, according to the recent report from the Poker News, the following US states have given the green light to online poker games:
- Nevada
- Delaware
- New Jersey
- Michigan
- West Virginia
- Pennsylvania
Licensing is where things get a bit murky.
Americas Cardroom poker is owned by Winning Poker Network (WPN), but it’s not licensed and regulated by any of the major gaming authority institutions like Curacao eGaming or the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
What this means for you as a player:
- Security measures may not be strong enough to prevent the account breach.
- There isn’t a regulatory body you can turn to help in case you encounter problems with the casino.
- Difficulties regarding withdrawals.
So, is Americas Cardroom safe? Only if you’re lucky enough not to experience any issue with them.
What about Fair Play?
However, the website claims it holds a certification from iTech Labs for integrating an RNG that ensures random hand dealing. Naturally, I didn’t leave it at that.
When I turned to places like Reddit to see what players had to say, the feedback was concerning. Many Reddit comments from the past 4 years point to the presence of bots that manipulate the games, making it harder for real players to win.
I even found video evidence on YouTube, with content from six months to four years ago, where players claim and demonstrate that ACR has a fixed poker algorithm, with bots running the show more often than not. The comment sections below these videos pretty much echo the sentiments found on Reddit.
This isn’t just a sporadic issue; it’s a recurring problem. The Poker News has covered the extent of bot-fueled games at ACR and what the casino has (unsuccessfully) done to counteract it, featuring social media coverage of the situation.
So, how does a platform like this uphold its popularity? Well, considering the limited number of legal poker rooms in the US, it’s not surprising that players flock to this one like bees to honey.
Pros and cons
Safety and fair play on ACR depend on how lucky you are
Is Americas Cardroom safe? Only if you’re lucky enough not to experience any issue with them.
Is ACR Rigged?
Considering player experiences over the years and the video evidence, it seems that ACR is rigged to the point it doesn’t seem like a coincidence stemming from bots only. If you still want to play here, proceed with caution—although, based on what I’ve learned, I wouldn’t recommend risking your funds here.

How to access customer support
From my experience, the Americas Cardroom support is prompt but not particularly committed to solving inquiries, especially if you’re just there to ask for information.
For instance, when I mentioned that I wasn't a registered player, the agent didn’t go the extra mile to highlight some benefits or try to make me more interested.
Before accessing customer support, you have to get through the virtual assistant. Keep in mind the virtual assistant will insist on typing in your email (even if you’re not registered), which I did, and I got transferred to an agent anyway.
Don’t forget to choose ACR Poker from the offered WPN brands before being transferred to an operator.
Pros and cons
Is Americas Cardroom Support Satisfactory?
For me to rate a casino's customer support at the highest level, it needs to be accessible to unregistered players who are exploring their next platform.
Additionally, the support team should readily provide clear information about the casino's licensing when asked.
Final Verdict
Rather than ending this review with a list of suggestions, I’ll simply highlight its strengths and red flags.
The bonuses and mobile-friendly gaming environment are definite positives. However, for me, the safety factor is always the top priority. Unfortunately, the casino falls short in this regard. It doesn’t appear to fully uphold its status as an iTech Labs-certified platform, with numerous reports of rigged gameplay raising concerns. Additionally, without proper licensing, regaining the trust of poker players will be difficult anytime soon..
If you decide to join ACR Poker, proceed with caution.
