Hacksaw Group has launched a business-to-business prediction markets platform. The Swedish supplier of online slots and crash games announced the launch on October 15, 2026, together with an extension of its Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) license.

The platform lets Hacksaw’s operator partners add prediction markets to their existing products. The announcement came days after the company told investors that third-quarter revenue growth had slowed. No launch partners or go-live dates have been named.

MGA Extends Hacksaw’s License to Cover Peer-to-Peer Markets

Ahead of the launch, the MGA approved an extension of Hacksaw’s existing B2B Critical Gaming Supply License. The authorization now covers Type 3 gaming services in addition to Type 1, according to Casino.org and Prediction News.

Under Malta’s framework, Type 1 covers games of chance played against the house, such as slots. Type 3 covers games where players compete against each other, and the operator takes a commission. Prediction markets, where users trade contracts on the outcome of events, fall into the second category.

Hacksaw said it built the platform with its existing technology and development resources. The company did not expand its cost base for the project.

A Supplier Model Rather Than a Consumer Exchange

Hacksaw is not opening a prediction market for the public. Unlike Kalshi or Polymarket, it plans to supply the technology to companies that already have customers.

“Prediction markets represent a compelling new opportunity at the intersection of technology, entertainment and market participation,” group CEO Ana Vrabic Verdir said in the announcement. “We believe our existing platform, distribution capabilities and operator relationships position us exceptionally well to help businesses participate in this category.”

Marcus Cordes, Operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, pointed to the company’s existing integrations. “Because we already work closely with operators across multiple jurisdictions, we believe we can provide a streamlined path to market while leveraging the technology, integrations and commercial infrastructure that we have spent years developing,” he said.

The company cited research from Bernstein estimating that annual prediction market trading volumes could reach about $1 trillion by 2030. The announcement did not name a US market, a US partner or a US regulator. It also did not say which operators have signed up or when the first integration will go live.

Launch Follows a Slowdown in Q3 Revenue Growth

The announcement came three days after a preliminary trading update on October 12. Hacksaw said it expects third-quarter revenue of 57.5 million euros to 58.5 million euros ($67 million to $68 million). That represents growth of about 11% to 12%.

The figure marks a sharp slowdown from the 31% growth recorded in the second quarter of 2026 and the 44% increase in full-year 2025. Hacksaw attributed the slowdown to softer market conditions and weaker game performance. The company maintained its long-term financial targets.

“Growth in the third quarter of 2026 was more moderate than during our recent history,” Verdir said in the update. “At the same time, we continue to expand our customer base through new signings and focus on extending our reach into additional markets with our existing customers.” The full Q3 report is due on November 3.

What the Move Means for Crypto Casino Operators

Hacksaw’s games are distributed across online casinos in multiple jurisdictions, including crypto operators. If those operators adopt the new platform, prediction markets could appear inside existing casino lobbies alongside slots and crash games rather than on separate exchanges.

Whether that happens depends on operator demand and on how regulators treat prediction markets in each country. The MGA license covers Hacksaw’s supply of the product from Malta. It does not determine whether an operator may offer event contracts to players in any particular market.

For now, the launch is a licensing and product announcement, not a live market. Hacksaw has not disclosed commercial terms, launch partners or a timeline. Its next scheduled update is the Q3 report in early November.
