You control your private keys and crypto. Trust Wallet doesn’t control or have access to them, so you’re responsible for securing your wallet and approving transactions.

Your private keys are encrypted using AES and stored locally on your device rather than being sent over the internet or exposed to third parties. The passcode you set for the wallet is also hashed before being stored in a tamper-proof key store.

Go to the official Trust Wallet website or search for “Trust Wallet” in your device’s app store. Click to download the extension or app, depending on what you need for your specific device.

Launch the newly installed extension or app. On mobile, all you have to do now is select Create a new wallet. On desktop, you also have to check the box asking whether you’ve read and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Now you have to create a password or passcode, which you’ll later use to unlock your wallet. On desktop, you’ll also be given the option to have Windows Hello create a passkey for you and store it in your Google Password Manager.

Depending on your device, you may have a couple more things to set up now. For example, since we were creating an account on an iPhone, Trust Wallet prompted us to set up Face ID. Then we were asked whether we wanted to turn notifications on. But both steps can be skipped for now.

You can add funds to your Trust Wallet directly through the app, from a centralized exchange or by sending crypto from another wallet you own. Some casinos, like BC.Game, also let you top up your account directly on the site through their on-ramp features.
